Margaret is known from the censuses and parish records. She was born 24 years before my grandmother, Agnes, so did not grow up with her; I have no memory of her married name coming up in family conversation.

Her husband was born in Cork, Ireland, and some time between the 1901 and 1911 censuses, she began a new life there, and remained, the whole family emigrating from Burnley. They ran a pub at 19 George Street, Clonakilty, Cork.
