Nettie and her sister, Olivia, both attended The Female Institute of Winchester, Virginia, and married young doctors-to-be who were classmates. Prior to her Amos' death in 1915, he had moved back to West Virginia, while Berta and the children remained in Boone, Iowa. At an advanced age, she moved in with her daughter, and lived there until 1926. On April 20, 1915, Berta M. Conley and the surviving heirs: H. C. Conley, Lena Conley, Nettie O'Connell, Ernest F. Conley, and B. M. Conley transferred their right, title, and interest in the personal property of A. C. Conley to Clarence Conley. (Miscellaneous Records, Preston County) References
