GARDNER, TEXAS (Milam County). Gardner, thirty miles southwest of Cameron in southern Milam County, had a post office from 1891 to 1905. It reported a Baptist church in 1892 and a population of 100 in 1896. Gardner is not shown on the 1941 county highway map.

On the 1920 Census Luther is mis-indexed as J. M. Jackson. The image is L. M. Jackson.

Jackson , Donnie Jackson and Andy Jackson. He was BORN 2/27/1887 in Alabama the son of M/M. Frank Jackson. With his parents he came to Texas when he was 2 yrs. old. Married Miss Catherine Storey in 1909 who survives him. He was a farmer by vocation and lived in the Salty Comm. and in Rockdale. SURVIVORS: Wife, Catherine Jackson; 2 daughters, Mrs. Claude (Bernice) Caffey and Mrs. C.A. (Alta Ray) Caffey both of Thorndale; 6 sons, Hubert Jackson of Thorndale, Van Jackson of Pasadena, Conrad Jackson and Roy Jackson both of Galena Park, Monroe (sic; Monora) Jackson and Floyd Jackson, both of Rockdale; brother, Albert (sic; Elbert) of Rockdale; 3 sisters, Mrs. John (Irene) Berry and Mrs. Frank (Ninnie) Williams, both of Thorndale and Mrs Ollie Copeland of Rockdale; 33 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; number of nieces and nephews. SS Death Benefit on #460-66-4313.
