    Bernice Caffey-Moore, 94, of Rockdale, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Taylor, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday, July 10, 2017, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale, with internment following at Salty Cemetery in the Salty Community. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, January 9, 2017, at the funeral home.

    Bernice was born September 20, 1922, in Salty, to Luther and Catherine (Story) Jackson. She attended Salty Community School and spent most of her career as a beautician in Thorndale, Texas. She was also a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Rockdale and loved playing dominoes and cards with friends and family. Bernice married W.C. (Claude) Caffey on September 4, 1939, in Thorndale, Texas. Claude passed away in 1992, and she married Luther Moore on March 9, 1998, in Rockdale, Texas.

    She is preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Caffey; second husband, Luther Moore; son, Lee Roy Caffey, and daughter-in-law, Judy Hudson Caffey.

    Bernice is survived by her sister, Alta Raye Caffey, Rockdale; son, Kenneth Caffey and wife Ann, Humble; daughter-in-law, Dana Caffey, Rockdale; grandchildren, LeeAnn Tokach and husband Mark, New Braunfels; Jennifer Hoffman and husband Gerald, Rockdale; Brad Caffey and wife Cassie, Rockdale; Kerry Caffey and wife Frances, Deer Park; Christy Earle and husband Sid, Corinth; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Seale, Garrett Smith, Alix Hoffman, Caleb Caffey, Taylor Tippie, Baylis Earle, Alyssa Earle, Savannah Earle, Madilyn Earle, and four beautiful great-great grandchildren.
