OBITUARY 

                                             (Auburn Citizen Tuesday February 12, 1957)

    Louis R. Shambo, 63, husband of Mrs. Mae Delehant Shambo of 24 Hamilton Ave. died this morning at Auburn Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

    Mr. Shambo was an employee of the Columbian Rope Company. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. He was born in Auburn and always resided here. Mr. Shambo was active in Democratic politics.

     Surviving besides his widow are one son, Louis R. Shambo Jr. of Auburn; two grandchildren, his mother Mrs. Agnes Shambo of Auburn; two brothers Leo Shambo of Union Springs and Theodore Shambo of Bethlehem, Pa.; six

sisters:Sister Agnes Paula and Miss Leona Shambo of Rochester; Miss Mae Shambo, Mrs. Jay Cunningham, Mrs. Agnes Flynn and Mrs. Edward Danahey of Auburn and several nieces and nephews . 

    Services will be held at 9:00am Thursday at the Avery E. Neagle Funeral Home with services at St. Mary's Church at 9:30am. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 - 9 p.m. today and from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. tomorrow.
