(The Auburn Daily Advertiser Saturday October 24, 1908)
The death of LOUIS SHAMBO, JR. occured late at his home, 24 1/2 North Division St. shortly after 10 o'clock last evening after a protracted illness of nearly a year, the past few months of which he has been confined to the house and although he felt confident that there was not the slightest chance for recovery he bore his burden bravely to the last, and suffered patiently. His loss is a great one in his own house hold as he leaves a wife and nine children; he is also survived by his parents, two sisters Gene and Della, and one brother Fred all of this city. To them will be extended the sincere sympathy of their many friends in their affliction.
The funeral will take place Monday morning with services at St. Aloysius Church at 9:15am o'clock. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
