Keziah Conkling, daughter of Joseph and Rebecca (Ross) Conkling was born on 20 October 1789 in Essex County, New Jersey. She was married by 1814 as her father refers to her as Keziah Woolley in his will. She and her husband lived in Hamilton County, but by 1830 she was living with her children in Butler County, Ohio The 1830 census lists her as a head of household in Butler County, Ohio. She is listed in the census two entries below her brothers, Joseph and Pierson. A deed dated 10 August 1834 says that Isaac and Keziah Woolley have separated with “a determination to remain separate”. The deed says that Isaac is desirous of providing land for his wife and children. The land was transferred to Keziah’s brother, Joseph C. Conkling in trust for Keziah. Stites, Harriet, Rebecca, John, Hitty, David, Phoebe, Eliza Jane, and Aaron are named in the deed as children of Isaac and Keziah. After Keziah’s death the same land was sold on behalf of her children to her brother, Felix Conkling. Deed grantees named were: Stites Woolley and wife Mary Ann, David Woolley and wife Martha H., Stephen H. Longstreth and wife, Eliza Jane, and John Chadd and wife Mary (formerly Mary Mane of Kentucky). The 1840 census shows Keziah living in Hamilton County with four children still at home, one son and daughter, ages 10-15 and one son and daughter, ages 20-30. Keziah was living in the Cincinnati home of her daughter, Eliza Longstreth when she died on 3 June 1850.

2010-the 1850 census, dated 24 Aug 1850, shows Keziah living in the home of her daughter, Eliza Longstreth. Keziah is 62. So either the census taker was mistaken, or the date of death of June is wrong
