Parentage

Several Ancestry Member Trees claim that Kalem Price was the son of Arjalon Price (1702-1773) and Joyce Barber (1712-1791) of Richmond and Orange County, Virginia, but sources have their marriage as occurring in about 1730, which would have been some eighteen years AFTER the birth of this Kalem Price, thereby dis-proving this claim. In addition, Arjalon Price is only about 10 years older than Kalem Price, which also supports disproving the claim as Kalem's father. Additional research is needed to determine the parents of Kalem Price, who were likely living in Culpeper County, Virginia, and not Richmond County.

Notes

Kalem and Mary Price were born of ancestors who lived in Wales. We don't know how many generations were in the Colonies before Kalem and Mary. These two ancestors were born about 1700, give or take a few years, judging from the last will and testament of Kalem, dated April 21, 1758. That last will & testament disclosed their children's names.
