There is a nephew John Snook listed as living with Julie Bodifield in the 1880 Census for Powesheik County, apparently after her husband had died or wasn’t living with them for some reason. Could this be the John? According to Lyle Snook, John and his wife Mary lived in Wadena, MN. In 1895, John W. (age 39) is living with his 32 yo wife and five children (ages 3-10) in Grant Twp., O’Brien County, Iowa. John Snook (55 yo and born in Texas) and his 48yo wife Maggie born in Canada are in the 1910 Wadena MN Federal Census living with sons Elponse age 22, Leo, age 20 and Ben age 14. (According to 1920 census, John is 64 and his wife’s name was Maggie and she was 57 and their widowed daughter was 34 yo Mary Rogers and their 9 yo granddaughter Olive Rogers lived with them.) I found a John Snook, age 64, born in Texas, in the 1920 Wadena Census. Right age, right birth place...

certid# 1931-MN-015631 Date of Death: 03/12/1931 County of Death: WADENA (could this be the same fellow?)
