John William Overton, (only) son of John Overton of Stamp End in Lincoln, boiler maker, by Jane[2] Cooper,[1] was born on 17 October 1872 and baptized on 16 February 1874 in the parish of St Swithin[2] (the birth was registered in the district of Lincoln[1]).
