On 19 December 1931, John William Overton of 1 Flower and Dean Street, bachelor, dock labourer and son of John Overton, deceased, and Ellen Blunden of the same place, widow and daughter of William Cook, deceased, were married by banns by George Bartle in the parish church of Christ Church, Spitalfields, co. London. Their ages were stated to be 59 and 71 respectively. The marriage was witnessed by George Hill and Elizabeth Sopha Hill.[1]
