Disambiguation

Not to be confused with John Davis of Garrard County, Kentucky. This other John Davis had a wife named Rachel and has been confused by some researchers with this John Davis who married Rachel West in Madison County, Kentucky, where they lived between 1800-1820.

Also not to be confused with another John Davis of Boeuf Township, Franklin County, Missouri. This other John Davis was born in North Carolina, is several years older than this John Davis, married Elizabeth Johnson, 1799 in Knox County, Tennessee. Since they were both located in Bueuf Township in the early 1830's, it is easy to see why some may have confused the two John Davises.
