- Page 132.--27th September, 1769. John Askins, of Fairfax County, to John McIlhany, of Loudoun County, Gent., £65. Two tracts--A, containing 85 acres purchased by John from Wm. Armstrong, 16th November, 1752, corner Daniel Manahon, Smith's Creek; B, containing 75 acres patented to John 10th September, 1755, on waters of Roanoke. Teste: Wm. Hyde. enclosed to William Fleming, Esq., Botr.. by order of Mr. McElhenny, 4th June, 1791.

John Askins, in First Virginia Regiment, commanded by C. W. Byrd, same.
