Sunday at Village Chapel for Ruth Nix Elkins , 82, Rainbow City , who died Friday , March 9, 2001. The Revs. Mike Murphy , Thomas McDaniel and Bobby Waddell will officiate. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home , Alabama City , is in charge . Mrs . Elkins was preceded in death by her husband , Buster Elkins ; parents , Jennings and Molly Nix ; brothers , Roscoe , Ellis and Berlie Nix ; and sister , Ophelia Nix . She was a member of Warrior river Baptist church in Walnut Grove .
