<jengle3@bellsouth.net> A review of my Records for J.T.(Tom) NIX and family. The following is in my files as a summary of the 1910 Census record, with my comments on the findings. As I remember it was the last family on that page and only three children showed, with none on the following page. As soon as Ancestry.com is up and running again I want to go back and review this census record again. They married very young, both 16, and had 5 children all living in the first 10 years, at least that is what I copied from the census record. But, notice from the headstones that both Robert Paul and Ernest Richard were born and died in the period between 1900 and 1910. Now I am beginning to remember why I was, and still am confused by this family. All of the DOB's match even for Ernest who apparently was already dead.

This is a listing of all the NIX headstones in Morton's provided to me by my sister. I think she has completed her listing of the entire population of Morton Chapel Cemetery, and has it in electronic form. I will attempt to get a copy for you if you want it. Note that Ersie E. is listed as a NIX married to Cleo P., therefore I assumed him to be a male married to an Cleo P.UNKNOWN, a female.

When I first entered the head of this family I used only J.T. (Tom) NIX as shown on the headstone. Then I found the census records and tied him to Thomas NIX. I must go back and determine why I called him John Thomas.

James, all of this may be too far out on your tree to be of much concern to you, but I would appreciate your comments, because it is very close to the trunk of the tree I am attempting to generate for my G(3)-Grandfather, Jennings NIX.
