James Townsend [#9], s/o Thomas Townsend and Mary Davis, b. "probably between 1667 and 1672", m. bef. 1700 Alice Newell of Roxbury. He died before 9 Apr 1744, when his son in law was appointed guardian of his widow [note, proceedings started 27 Mar and she is called widow then also, see her page].
[Note: there are not many records of James, most of the evidence for his inclusion in this family seems to be in the probate of his brother Caleb.]
