Newspaper clipping - Marshalltown Times Republican "County Native Dies at Age 88": Mr. and Mrs. Fred Maynard, 108 W. Linn St ., have received word of the death of his brother, James G. Maynard, 88, V alley View Village, DesMoines. He had been in declining health the past t wo years. "Maynard was born Jun 9, 1884, the son of John W. and Elizabeth Warren May nard in State Center. He was married to Golda Eaton and they had two chil dren, Garfield, who now lives in Edina, Minn. and Janet, who lives in Indi ana. The family had lived in DesMoines for many years where he was employ ed in the office of a woolen mill. "Survivors include the children and his brother. Preceding him in death w ere his wife, his parents, three sisters and seven brothers. "Private graveside services were held Tuesday in DesMoines." NOTE: On t he back of this clipping is written "died Sept 10, 1972."
