James Dugger was born 9 Nov 1809 (source?) in Tennessee.
His parents are unidentified, but Shadrack Dugger (c1774) is a strong possibility. It is generally thought that James is a brother to Alexander (c1803) and John Dugger (1800/10) both of whom lived in Itawamba Co., MS when he did.
James Dugger is listed on the 1840 census in Itawamba near brother Alexander.
