Brownlee, James, entered service 1777 in Fluvanna County, Virginia; granted Pension 1818 in Waynesboro, Augusta County, Virginia; in 1820 soldier abt. age 70 & wife age 50; died 3/13/1836 in Augusta County, Virginia; where he married 1/28/1825 to widow Mary Eve; widow granted Pension abt. age 68 there in 1855; soldier's surname at times spelled Burley. R383.
