In 1820 Census, Bedford County, PA, p. 026, Southampton Township, p. 026, shows Jacob Ash one male age 16-26, two females under 10, 2 males under 10. In 1830 census, p. 122 (same as Henry and John), 1 male age 40-50, one female age 40-50, 3 males 5-10, 1 male 10-15, 1 female under 5. In 1831or 1832, Jacob came to Liberty Township, Seneca Co., Ohio, entering 320 acres of land from the government, a part of which they cleared and improved. He and his wife resided there until their death. They were four weeks making the journey with a three-horse team from Bedford county. There were 6 children. At his death he left each of his four sons, then living, eighty acres of land and his daughter money in proportion. Buried in Kansas Cemetery, Kansas, Ohio. References
