Jessica,
I have checked our Birth Return records (and addendums to these); Birth Announcements from the local newspapers (but copies of the county papers are very sporadic from the 1870s through the 1890s...); as well as the WPA Birth Index. There is NO record that matches Benjamin Foraker Mounts for April 28, 1888. The closest I can see are listings in the WPA index where it shows Sam Mounce and Flora (Wilson) had a son March 6, 1886. Also, an entry for Sam Monnce and Florence (Williams) had a daughter December 1, 1890.

His name was Benjamin Foraker Mounts and his parents were Samuel Mounts and Emily Florence (Wilson) Mounts. > >I've already contacted the Harrison County Registrar. She was unable to find a birth certificate, but suggested I might have better luck with the library. Specifically, she suggested I find out about library's collection of birth announcements. Is there a birth announcement for the Mounts family on April 28, 1888? > >Thank you!
