The author (in the tentative pedigree on page 251) estimates his birth year to be 1515. However, his children were under the age of 15 when he wrote his will in 1558, so it is reasonable to assume he was born a bit later than that.
The author makes no supposition about who Henry's father was. Henry's 1558 will, in which he mentions the children of his sister Elizabeth Blake, and the 1546 will of Henry Rolff of Hamptworth, which mentions his son Harry (under the age of 18) and daughter Jone (but not Elizabeth), are insufficient to assume they were father and son.
