'RINGLER, HENRY, the old progenitor of this family, was a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where he was born about the year 1770. In the year 1802 he, in company with his wife and family and others, moved to Canada and settled in Waterloo County, Ontario, near Galt, where he resided several years, then he moved to Wilmot Township, near Manheim, where he died many years ago. One of his sons was named John.'
