Burial? He was cremated and ashes were scattered in the North Carolina mountains.

They had a cottage on Spring Lake in Michigan, and each summer his siblings and their families loved spending an afternoon at the cottage, swimming, skiing and riding in the speedboat around Spring Lake, under the draw bridge and occasionally out on to Lake Michigan.

Obituary

 Jerry Laug, 91, of Bolens Creek Road, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999 in Spruce Pine Hospital.  A native of Coopersville, Michigan, he spent most of his life in Grand Rapids, Michigan as co-owner of the Michigan Bulb Company.  Jerry was in the real estate business after moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
 Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Jeanette Laug; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Gerald and Penny Laug of Plantation, Florida; a sister, Geneva Hosler; a brother, Luis Laug; three grandchildren: Diane Barker, Pam Hewlett and Darrell Tilley; five great-grandchildren: Douglas McDowell, Melissa Hewlett, Michael Hewlett, Blake Tilley and Skylar Tilley.
 A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  The Rev. Lucas Grile will officiate.
