George, Jr. was the oldest surviving son of George Parkhurst and Phebe Leete. He came as a boy to Watertown with his father and siblings where he remained the for the rest of his life. He settled on the old Parkhurst farm in a part of Watertown, MA that later became Waltham, MA. His farm was located on the east side of Beaver Brook and on the north side of the old country road. The housestood a few rods east of the cottage of Thomas Page.
