Jones, Edson Salisbury. The Family of George Parkhurst of Watertown and Boston, Mass. New England Historical and Genealogical Register. (New England Historic Genealogical Society, Oct 1914).

Survey of records in England pertaining to the family of George Parkhurst and Phoebe Leete.

Jones identified the christening records of George and Phoebe's children in various parishes in Ipswich, Suffolk:

1612 Phebey Parkhurst the daughter of George Parkhurst of the Key Parish and of Phebey his wiffe 29 November St. Stephen
1614 Mary ye Do: of Georg Parkhurst was baptized at St. Lawrens 28 August St. Mary-at-the-Quay
1616 Sammerwell sone of Georg P'rust [Parkhurst in later hand in margin] 2 February [1616/17] St. Margaret
1619 Deborah Dawter of George P'rust [Parkhurst in later hand in margin] 1 August St. Margaret
1621 Geordge son of Geordge Parkhurst 5 June St. Margaret
1623 John Sonne of George Parkehurst 19 October St. Margaret
1625 Abigail Daughter of George Parkehurst 1 January [1625/6] St. Margaret
1628 Elizabeth Parkisse daughter of Geo. Parkisse, borne in St. Margette St. Mary-le-Tower
1629 Joseph Sonne of George Parkehurst 21 December St. Margaret

Jones also abstracted the will of John Parkhurst of St. Mary Quay, clothier, dated 29 Mar. 1610, likely George's father. The will mentions wife Sara, son George, son John, and daughters Thamar, Hellen, and Sara (the latter two not yet 21). Only Hellen's baptism is recorded anywhere nearby, 7 Jan? 1598/9 in St. Mary-at-the-Quay.

Jones also surveys various other records of Parkhursts in the 1500s, and concludes that it seems "probable" that John of Ipswich was related to the family in co. Surrey and in Guildford.
