   George W. Irvin married Rachel DeWeese (1789-1873) on 6 Oct. 1808, and they had six children: Lucinda Irvin (c.1809-1873, never married), James M. Irvin (c 1811-1873, m. Aseneth Bell, 2nd m. Elizabeth Newell), Sarah H. Irvin (1814-1896, never married), Isaiah DeWeese Irvin (1820-1896, m. Jane Alexander), Benjamin Barnett Irvin (1824-1864, m. Margaret Sophia Morrison, CSA soldier died in the War), and Ephraim G. Irvin (1829-1900, m. Louisa M. Morrison).

   I am still trying to discover who the parents of George W. Irvin were. I suspect he may have been a brother to Margaret Boyd Irvin (c 1791-1865) who married Jonathan DeWeese (1785-1841), a cousin of George's wife Rachel.
