Gena Hultberg is buried at WallaWalla Lutheran Cemetary outside NewEffington, S.Dak. Gena died 3-13-1965, at the Park Region Nursing Homein Fergus Falls..Gena was married 6-10-1902 to Peter Moxness, who died4-20-1911, she then married Solomon Hultberg on 3-8-1913 until his death6-10-1924. Gena had 5 children: Josie Moxness Hultberg (Lindberg); ClaraMoxness Hultberg (Peterson): Irene Elizabeth-Betty-Hultberg (Peterson);Richard Hultberg; and Edwin Hultberg.

BIOGRAPHY: Gena Olson was born January 19th 1883, the seventh child ofKittel and Gunhild Olson. She was born in Wendell and confirmed November28th 1897 in Trinity Lutheran Church. She was only twelve when hermother passed away. She married Peter Moxness June 10th 1902 inSisseton, South Dakota and settled in Roberts County, South Dakota. Daughter Josie was born to them in October of 1903 and daughter Clara in1905. Peter gave Gena a pocket watch at their wedding. It was to be handed downto the oldest child in each generation. Josie's daughter Milly, now hasthat watch. Gena was a hard working lady. She preferred working outdoors. She especially enjoyed baby pigs. Gena would bake bread on herfarm near Sisseton, South Dakota, and would always bake several extraloaves " for the Indians" because native Americans living in the areawould smell the baking bread and come walking across the fields. Peter died from Pneumonia in 1911. Gena married Solomon Hultberg in1913. They had three more children. Irene Hultberg in 1915, RichardHultberg in 1916 and Edwin Hultberg in 1920. Solomon died in 1924,leaving Gina a widow again with small children to raise. She lived inRoberts County, South Dakota. Gena passed away in March of 1965. She isburied in the Walla Walla Cemetery, New Effington, South Dakota.

They reside on farm near Battle Lake, Minnesota. Gina Olson is married to Mr. Solomon Hultberg. and to them have been born the following children : Josephine, Clara, Elizabeth and Richard. They live in South Dakota. Sophia Olson married Mr. Carl Holm, but no children have been born to them. They live in South Dakota. Capitola May, is the only child in the second marriage. Her mother married a second time, and they live in North Dakota, the writer believes. The married daughters of Mr. Kittel Olson are good wives and mothers.
