was married first to Lizzie Ridgeway and they had three children, Frederick, Hugh and Margery. On Lizzie's death Frederick William married Kate Collins. Kate turned out to be a typical step-mother. She rejected the three children. An instance of this was told to me by I think Frederick Henry Jeorge. At a Christmas celebration when her own three children were present with the children from the first marriage her 5 own children were give an orange to eat; the step-children were given an orange to HOLD !! Frederick William Thomas eventually became Mayor of Faversham.
