- Vol. III, Deed Book 15, Pg. 371, 26 Nov 1767, John Mitchel and Margaret ( ) to Francis Fullen, £29, 170 acres on Buffalo Creek in Forks of James; corner John McCollum. Teste: Richard Woods, John Thompson, Robert Campbell, James Davies. Delivered: Mr. J. Lyle, 18th November, 1791.

- Henry Lee, Governor, grant to John Mitchell of Rockbridge County 100 acres of land in said County on Buffalo Creek, a branch of James River, being part of which was granted to John Mitchell August 16, 1756, on the West side adjoining Francis Fullen and Thomas Cunningham's land. December 23, 1791.
