Emma

she was my sister-in-law

she was 5 ft. 6 in. weight about 110 lb. She was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, North Main Street, Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky; Emma was one of finest Christian Ladies that ever was!!!! She loved God, her Church, her family, her friends (and they were many) and she love her fellowman, She gave a Testimony one night in the old Lighthouse on Weldon Ave. that I shall never forget it was " About a man I met and took home with me...He lives with me..He is always there when I need him...my eldest daughter coming home from school climbed up over the top of a gas range to get a jar of Peanut Butter out of the cabinet and her dress caught on fire...I was in the basement washing clothes when I hear Debbie scream out...that Man was with me, He ran up the steps with me and was at my side when I saw my little girl in flames running around the coffee table and my little boy run behind her...that Man told me what to do He help me put the fire out and He told me what to do...He helped me get her in the car and That Man road to the hospital with us..when we got to the hospital he went in too..He never left her side...that Man was Jesus my Lord and my God....." Later when she was told she had cancer and only had a short time to live...She told the Doctor he needed her walk with God more than she need him.....One of the brothers of the church Bro Leman Clark wrote a poem about her...She had been over the kitchen at the church Family Center and had led the ladies in raising a lot of money to help pay the church off, and then to support the Mission Field....She also was one that had a great love for the Youth of the Church..She was her dream that the Church would build a Building to house our youth when they went to camp at the state church campground...at Summersville , Kentucky...It now stand there in her memory...She shall never be forgotten ..... --Dlbradley1 21:38, 6 August 2008 (EDT)
