Wallace Lee Bowles, 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away, Monday, April 13, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Bowles was born on May 6, 1932 in Hopkins County to the late Otho Bowles and Birdie May Sandefur Bowles. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Emma Francis Hendricks Bowles, one brother, Doris Bowles, and one sister, Mary Beth Bowles. He was a member of Greater Lighthouse Church. He retired from Island Creek Coal Company and loved farming, church, and his family. 

He is survived by twodaughters, Debbie (Bobby) Minton of Anton, KY and Diane (Fabian) Ipock

of Madisonville;one son, Rick (Kelly) Bowles of Dawson Springs, KY; one brother, Jerry (Linda) Bowles of Nebo, KY; five grandchildren, Darren Darnell, Beth (David) Poole, Lee Mathis (Candace) Bowles, Clint (Jessica) Miller, and Zachary (Katie) Miller; eight great grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and seven step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:00P.M. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, and from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Marshall Chambers, Cleve Forbes, Darren Darnell, Lee Mathis Bowles, Zachary Miller, and Clint Miller.
