GLenmore definately died in 1974 NOT 1973 as per Jeanette Wells Stahl. [edit] obituary 1"E. Glenn Wells, 86, of 1603 Southbrook Drive, died at 9:45 PM Wednesday in the Ridgedale nursing home after an extended illness. Mr. Wells was the past president of the Wells manufacturing company. Born March 31, 1888, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life. On July 7, 1911, in South Bend he married Hazel Andrews, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Evadene McCormick of South Bend, Mrs. Esther Laure of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Jeannette Niemier of Phoenix; two sons, Herald of Mishawaka and Richard of Fort Myers, Florida; nine grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Baer and Mrs. Lillian Hintz, both of South Bend; Mrs. Grace Collier of La Porte and Mrs. Bernice Hollister of Orlando, Florida. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Friday at the Forest G. Hay and son funeral home, 1201 South Michigan Street, where services will be at 11 AM Saturday. Rev. George Harris, pastor of the Southside Christian Church, of which Mr. Wells was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery. Mr. Wells was a member of South Bend Lodge 294, F. & A M.; The Scottish Rite, Valley of South Bend; The Travelers Protective Association and Civic Planning Association.
