Obituary

"Mrs. Hazel F. Wells.

Mrs. Hazel F. Wells, 86, of 1603 Southbrook, died at 4 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an 18-month illness. Born on April 4, 1890, in Goshen, she lived here most of her life. As Hazel Andrews, on July 7, 1911, she married Glenn E. Wells, who died Oct. 23, 1974. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Evadene McCormick of South Bend, Mrs. Esther Laure of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. Jeanette Niemier of Phoenix, Ariz. ; two sons, Harold Of Mishawaka and Richard of Fort Meyers Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a halfsister, Mrs. Dorothy Osborn of Elkhart.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Forest G Hay and Son Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan. Rev. George Harris, pastor of the South Side Christian Church of which Mrs. Wells was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Mrs. Wells was a member of St. Joseph Chapter 569, Order of Eastern Star and the Travelers Protective Association. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Side Christian Church."
