Obituary

"Ralph D. Wells, 54, of 128 East Eckman Street, died in the Alexandrian nursing home at 11:30 AM Tuesday after an illness of several years. He was formerly affiliated with the Wells Manufacturing Company.

He was born in South Bend on March 16, 1897 and spent his lifetime here. In 1924 she married Dora E. Dudley, who survived. Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Marjorie Wells of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Eugene Henry of Franklin, Indiana; a grandson; a brother, E. G. Wells of South Bend; and four sisters, Mrs. Grace Collier of La Porte, Mrs. Jack Hollister of Orlando, Florida, and Mrs. Lillian Hintz and Mrs. Ruth Baer, both of South Bend. Friends may call in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home after 7 PM today and until services there at 10 AM Friday. Services will be conducted by St. Joseph Lodge 45, F. and AM. Cremation will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Chicago. In addition to Lodge 45, he was a member of the Scottish Rite Valleys of South Bend; the Orak Temple, Hammond; and the Avalon Grotto."
