Maiden Name, Place of Marriage
Conflicting sources, all secondary and without source citation or documentation,[1][2][3][5] give Elizabeth's maiden name as either Martin or Todd. There is a marriage of a Thomas Meador and an Elizabeth Martin in Franklin County, Virginia in 1794, but there were other Meadows/Meadors families living in Franklin County at that time, while the family of Thomas Meador who is usually said to have married Elizabeth Martin was living in South Carolina. While it is possible that the Thomas Meador who married Elizabeth Martin is the Thomas Meadows son of Thomas and Keziah Moberly Meadows, it needs to be documented. Until then, the family name of Elizabeth should be considered Unknown.
