John Dickinson concludes a letter of 20 February 1673 to Job Lane with the following: "pray let us know how Aunt Elizabeth does and your brother and sister, and aunt Mary and uncle Humphrey's daughter." By implication all these relatives were living in New England, and so it is reasonable to suggest that Elizabeth (Reyner) Southworth of Plymouth was "Aunt Elizabeth." She would have been the unmarried daughter Elizabeth, mentioned in the 1638 will of her father, John Reyner; after her father's death she would have joined her brother John in Plymouth where he was the minister.
