On 7 August 1844, the Hon. Lord Claud Hamilton of Argyll House, Middlesex, son of James Hamilton, Viscount, deceased, and Elizabeth Emma Proby of Lowndes Square, (Belgravia,) Middlesex, daughter of the Hon. Granville Leveson Proby, were married by special licence at the Chapel at Lambeth Palace in Lambeth, Surrey, by W. Cantuan.

Death and Probate

Elizabeth, then a widow of 2 Draycott Place, Chelsea, Middlesex, died 24 June 1900 at Hindhead House in the village of Hindhead, Surrey, England[2] (registered in the district of Farnham),[1] and was buried at Church of All Saints, Elton, Huntingdonshire[3] (county, later a district in Cambridgeshire).

On 15 October 1900,[2] in London, administration was granted to her children Douglas James and Emma Frances. Effects were in the amount of £11,333 6s 3d.
