Edith Marian LaChapelle attended Fisher School and in 1900 graduated from Harrisville High School. She taught school in a number of rural schools in Alcona County, Michigan.

Married at the home of Mrs. Francis LaChapelle at high noon, Wesdnesday, June 19, 1907. Ernest LaChapelle, brother of the bride, was best man; Miss Grace Martin, sister of the groom, supported the bride. The service was performed by Rev. Geo. E. Sloan.

She was Past President of the East Lansing Chapter of the DAR, Past Matron of Lake Huron Chapter No. 184 OES, and a member of the Methodist Church in Harrisville, Michigan.
