First wife of John Mullin.

Married to John S. Mullin in a civil ceremony.

Catherine was a Quaker and was disowned for marrying a non-Quaker 10 Oct 1776. Evesham was located 3 miles southeast of Moorestown, NJ.

After John and Catherine were married, they went to VA and may not have ever gone back to NJ. Their oldest child, Isaac, was born in VA 7 Sep 1777. Catherine's father had a lot of land in VA. Catherine was born after her father died and she was not mentioned in his will (however she was in her grandmother's.)

In 1790 Catherine was reinstated by her Evesham MM, NJ Quaker meeting, and she got a certificate from that meeting to Crooked Creek MM, VA. She did not have to physically go to NJ to accomplish this. A letter of contrition was all that was necessary.

Family legend has it that her last children were twin girls born in 1798, mother and babes dying at birth.
