Benjamin Walby was baptised on 9th August 1789 at Aston in Hertfordshire, son of Alice Walby, formerly Wright, and her husband George Walby, a labourer.

Benjamin's mother died in 1816.

Benjamin was married on 4th October 1819 at Aston to Maria Warner. They went on to have three children baptised at Aston between 1820 and 1829. Benjamin's father died in 1821.

Benjamin died at the age of 41. He was buried at Aston on 26th September 1830. Maria survived him by over 55 years and remarried the year after his death.
