Maria Warner was baptised on 15th June 1800 at St Ippolyts in Hertfordshire, daughter of Ethel Warner.
She was married on to a labourer called Benjamin Walby at 4th October 1819 at Aston, about seven miles south-east of St Ippolyts. They went on to have three children baptised at Aston between 1820 and 1829.
Benjamin died in 1830, aged 41.
The following year Maria married again. Her second husband was James Maynard, an agricultural labourer. They went on to have several more children at Aston. The 1841 census finds the family living at Aston End. By 1861 they had moved to nearby Bandley Hill, where they appear to have lived for the rest of their lives.
James died in 1886. Maria survived him by two years. She was buried at Aston on 6th April 1888, aged 87.

Maria has not been found in the 1851 census. This household is clearly her husband and children and the enumerator has clearly been slightly confused about the entry for Maria's daughter Louisa - perhaps the entries for mother and daughter have been muddled together into one?
