Mrs. Armande Sordelet for many years a resident of Jefferson township, and a pioneer resident of Allen county, died Friday morning at her home at the age of seventy-four years. Death was due to pneumonia. Only last Monday the aged lady had visited in this city with relatives. Her husband, James Sordelet, is ill and his condition is considered critical. Mrs. Sordelet came to Allen county from France when a mere child. Her parents settled in Perry township. She was a membe44r of the Catholic church and was respected and highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends. She is survived by the husband and nine children--Mrs. William Rorick, of Jefferson township; Mrs. W.M. Clutter of Fort Wayne; Mrs. Peter Hanes of Aboit township; Mrs. Frank Pio of Hobart, Ind., Mrs. John Bickel, of Huntington; Frank Sordlet, of Columbus; Charles Sordelet, of Pueblo, Col.; Edward Sordelet, of Eel River township and John Sordelet, who resides on the old home place. There is also one brother, Marcellus Dupont, residing in Perry township. Funeral services have no been definitely arranged, but it is thought they will be held Monday at St. Louis Catholic church at Besancon, Allen, INd. References
