Facts and Events
Name Ann Newborn
Gender Female
Christening[1] 4 Mar 1711 Barnack, Northamptonshire, EnglandSt John the Baptist

Ann Newborn was the fourth child of a couple named Edward Newborn and Ann Algate, but her three elder siblings had died as children before she was born, such that she was effectively their eldest child. She was named after both her mother and her older sister who had died in 1709.

Ann has yet to be traced after her baptism - quite likely she moved away from Barnack. Alternatively, it is possible that the Ann Newborn who was buried at Barnack in 1763 is actually this Ann rather than her mother, although it seems more likely that the younger woman would have moved away, perhaps to marry elsewhere.
