    ANDREW LEWIS CROW was born circa 1768 in Botetourt County, Virginia. He was the son
    of William Crow and wife, Margaret Lewis Long (widow). Andrew Lewis Crow died January
    26, 1820 in Alabama and was laid to rest in Meridianville Cemetery near Huntsville,
    Alabama. He married Margaret Montgomery, daughter of James Montgomery, on February
    21 j 1799 in Mercer County, Kentucky. Andrew Lewis Crow signed a deed in Botetourt
    County, Virginia in 1795* He came to Kentucky soon afterwards ("early Days in Dan¬
    ville , by Calvin Morgan Facler, page 62). Strong was a merchant, too. He and Andrew
    Lewis Crow "Keep store" on the exact section of Lot 17, June 1, 1797, pages 92 and 93. Mr. Joshua Fry bought the two-story log which stood so long at the northeast corner of
    Third and Walnut Streets. This land-mark was torn down to make way for the Centerary
    Methodist Church about 1900 when the weatherboarding was removed and logs boarded. Port holes were found in the walls, showing it had been erected in "Indian Times". It
    was owned and probably built by Andrew Lewis Crow who "keep store" with Captain Walter
    Strong in 1796. Andrew Lewis Crow sold his store and moved his family to Alabama. He was there only a short time when he died. His widow, Margaret Montgomery Crow, and
    family moved back to Kentucky where her children grew up. They were the parents of
    seven children. Birth dates taken from the Family Bible of James Crow published in
    Lincoln County, Kentucky, Court Records Volume 2, by Julia B. Ardery. All children
    born in Boyle County, Kentucky. WILLIAM CROW, born February 21, 1800, died December 14, 1818. JAMES CROW, born April 24, 1801, died August 2, 1885 (more later). JOHN CROW, born October 25, 1802, died April 26, 1835 (more later). ANDREW LEWIS CROW, JR., born May 30, 1804, died April 26, I885 (more later). ELIZABETH CROW, born December 13, 1805, died March 18, 18__ (more later). CHARLES LEWIS CROW, born October 11, 1807, died January 18, 1864 (more later).
