mos Ross Arbogast, 91, a former resident of Valley Head and a resident of Horseshoe Run for the past three years, died at 2;15p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, in Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md.

He was born April 25, 1895, in Valley Head, a son of the late George Washington and Sophia Channell Arbogast.
His wife, the former Verda Irene Swecker, preceded him in death Sept. 25, 1985.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Jewell) Michaels, Florida, Mrs. Glen (Mary) Brown Jr., Horseshoe Run, Mrs.William (Marilyn) Waybright, Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Arling (Carolyn)Riffle, Garrettsville, Ohio; three brothers, Wesley, Walter and Keefer Arbogast, all of Valley Head; 24 grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were one daughter, two sons, two sisters and six brothers.
Mr. Arbogast had been employed as a coal miner and worked for Bethlehem Mine at Monterville, where he retired. He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the U.S.Army and was a member of the Conley Run Methodist Church
