Maxine Cleo Arbogast Wood, 22, died at Davis Memorial Hospital of injuries following an automobile accident near Huttonsville, West Virginia on June 22, 1951. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John M. and Stella Mace Wood also died as a result of the accident. Her husband, Donald D. Wood, suffered minor injuries and survived.

She was born April 25, 1929 in Valley Head, West Virginia the daughter to Amos and Verda Swecker Arbogast.
