Harmon, George - entered service 1780 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, where born 2/15/1764 [was then Frederick County]; moved to North Carolina western frontier (area later Tennessee), where entered service; granted Pension 1833 as Adam Harmen, Mauk's Districe, Washington County, Tennessee, where he died 5/4/1844; married 6/21/1801 to Barbara Barnhart, Greene County, Tennessee; widow granted Pension age 70 in Washington County, Tennessee in 1853; granted Bounty Land Warrant #34541 in 1855 there; resided there in 1865 with daughter and son-in-law; had several other children then; Pension restored there in 1866 after Civil War; increase in Pension granted there in 1868 age 85; George Capp, administrator of her estate there.
