'THOMAS LOOMIS, b. Co. Essex, England, 1624; m. 1st, Nov. 1, 1653, Hannah, d. Apr. 25, 1662; dau. of Henry Fox (spelled also Fowkes—see Porter Gen., Ed'n of 1893, p. 9, which says: "dau. of Henry Fowkes, from Eng., Windsor, Conn., who d. Sept, 1640) …'
The Great Migration sketch of Henry Fowkes, which includes an abstract of his will, states that he had no children recorded. The abstract of the will does not mention any children. Manwaring did not abstract Henry Fowkes' probate in his three-volume work. It should be noted that Porter genealogy is not considered one of the better genealogies from the late nineteenth century.
