'... MARGARET SUTTON, ... daughter of John and probably Julian (Adcocke) Sutton of Attleborough, co. Norfolk, England; Hingham, Massachusetts Bay Colony; and Rehoboth ...'

NOTE: I assume that Julian Adcocke is the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Eldred) Adcock mentioned in NEHGR article "English Ancestry of Stephen Paine" (143:300) (Stephen being Julian Adcock's brother-in-law). I have not seen an explicit argument for John Sutton's wife being Julian Adcocke (although one may be published that I have not had a chance to see), but some of the evidence would be:
    - Julian was born in Attleborough, which is where John and Julian Sutton emigrated from (as per Cushing's Record)
    - Julian is the right age to be John's wife and mother of his children
    - Julian is a relatively uncommon name for a woman
    - Julian's father names grandchild Elizabeth Sutton in his will - no other daugther is listed as having married a Sutton
    - Julian's sister and brother-in-law Neele (Adcock) and Stephen Paine emigrated on the same ship as John and Julian Sutton
On the other hand, Julian's father names the 4 children of Neele and Stephen Paine in his will (even though they emigrated to New England), but does not name the children of John and Julian Sutton who emigrated, and his burial record (NEHGR p. 299) mentions how he pined for a favourite daughter (Neele) who emigrated, without mentioning that another daughter (Julian) had also emigrated (at the same time). (Of course, he could have favoured Neele over Julian and blamed John and Julian for encouraging Neele and Stephen to emigrate.) --DataAnalyst
